Beyond Amazing! I can’t begin to explain how incredible this place was. We stayed in Waikiki first and this place was such a perfect change of scenery from that. Annegret goes above and beyond as a host – the space was spotless and has everything you need. The grounds are gorgeous and Cassie who lives on site was so helpful and gracious. Pupukea’s mountain breeze kept us cool and comfortable at night and the neighborhood is beautiful. The place made our trip perfect. Mahalo Annegret!!

Though a bit removed from the ocean, it was very relaxing driving home through the lush neighborhoods. More spacious than anywhere else we’ve stayed on the North shore, hosts super responsive and brought us fresh bananas, papaya and avocado from the property. We will be back!

It was clean, comfortable and well stocked. We love getting up early in the morning and going for walks. If you don’t mind not being right on the beach it’s a great location. Anne was accommodating and very helpful.

This was the perfect little place for our family of 3. The location was awesome, we love the area and it’s just a 4 minute drive to the beach. The house was tidy and uncluttered so easy to keep clean. The deck was a great place to hang out day or night. The breeze coming through the open windows and doors felt so good you didn’t even need the ceiling fans. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and well taken care of. We enjoyed the chickens and the occasional visit from one of the kitty cats. We also had fun chatting with the owner. She makes it a point to meet all her renters which we found to be surprisingly pleasant. She was so kind to share delicious avocados and bananas grown right on her property. We would highly recommend this property and hope to return again soon.

Beautiful property and spacious home. The home looked better in person than in the pictures. It was a beautiful property and the home was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The owner was very responsive to questions. I’d certainly return again with our family. Incidentally we occupied both the bottom and top homes to accommodate our family of 10 and it was the ideal situation.

Great North Shore Location! Absolutely beautiful property a short drive from all the best spots in N. Shore! -meticulously maintained -comfortable & well stocked – beautiful lanai was a great place to enjoy coffee or a cocktail – great location – close to grocery store, food trucks, restaurants and the best beaches! – loved the apple bananas provided by host – Must do CLIMB works zipline & Toa Luau both nearby! We very much enjoyed our stay in Pupukea. The unit is very well maintained and updated. It was also spacious even for our family of five. Everything was in great condition. Alan and Anna were friendly hosts and since they were on site, easy to locate if needed. They were generous with use of their beach amenities. The local grocery store is right down the hill which was very convenient as we typically ate breakfast in the unit and sometimes prepared lunches. And, of course, world class beaches were literally minutes away, as was the fun town of Haleiwa. We opened windows for lovely breezes at night which kept us comfortable. The only downside is that with windows open in the early morning (still dark) you can hear the roosters, but perhaps that is to be expected! That being said, some nights we closed the windows and turned on the ceiling fan and the windows were pretty efficient as when closed, one couldn’t hear the roosters crowing. At night it is very dark in the area which made for incredible viewing of the sky. Star gazing was terrific. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends.

We absolutely loved the lanai, it’s huge! We were able to borrow boogie boards and beach chairs. Snorkeling gear also available. The apartment was decorated very nicely. WiFi was good, beds were comfortable, five minute drive to Foodland, beaches, and food trucks. There’s a stovetop but no oven, no washer or dryer but a nice clothesline on the lanai. If you’re a blanket person pack your own. We would 100% return! Thank you!

I grew up in Hawaii and have returned often over the years to visit family and friends and do some surfing. as a result I’ve rented a lot of different properties around Oahu. this is by far my favorite. the property is embedded in a quiet and lush green setting with spectacular views – I found it so relaxing. The pictures don’t really do justice to the view from the deck – the evening ritual was watching the sun set over Kaena point and then eating dinner on the deck. and yet in 5 or 10 minutes you can drive to any beach on the north shore. There was a good breeze every day which kept it cool and mosquito free the entire time. Anne and Alan were wonderful hosts. They live in another house on the property and they were helpful and available but respectful of my privacy. I was there at the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak and they cheerfully did everything possible to accommodate my multiple change in travels plans.

We had the best time visiting the North Shore and staying at Anna’s rental was seamless. The place is beautiful and has a ocean view on clear days. The house was very clean but incredibly private even though she has other rentals on the property. We adventured all over the island and it was so nice to come back to our own place and relax on the huge deck! There is a food store and food trucks right down the hill plus several towns within 10 minutes to have sit down meals. We enjoyed the ease of having breakfast in and then adventuring out for the rest of the day. Anna was so accommodating we borrowed her beach chairs and boogie boards so we didn’t have to purchase any. We loved Turtle bay spent a day there as well as Hanauma Bay for snorkeling. We can’t wait to come back and would not hesitate to stay at this rental again!

This place is amazing!!! My girlfriend and I rented a VRBO and for various reasons it didn’t work. We were stuck in Hawaii without a place to stay. I sent out emails to find another and within minutes I received a phone call from the owner of this property, Anne. She was so accommodating and nice and let us immediately rent her property. Upon our arrival we were blown away with the location and the views. This place has everything you need and is centrally located. Jaque their neighbor greeted us with fresh bananas and was very friendly and informative about where to eat, activities etc. We both can’t wait to come back here and bring our family .

Beautiful Home! My family and I enjoyed our stay in your beautiful property! The home was very clean and the layout was as described. We had everything we needed and more. Jock the caretaker was very helpful, accommodating and respectful. He gave us a lot of the delicious apple bananas from the owner’s backyard and he even gave my family a personal tour to see the turtles. It was one of our favorite memories on the island. The “treehouse” was just what we were looking for when returning back home to visit Oahu. We only had a few days, but the home was just what we needed. Enough room for our 2 kids and ourselves. Anne even brought us fresh picked bananas that worked well for our breakfasts. She also let our kids and our friends kids that were visiting run around their yard to get their energy out. Our stay in Pūpūkea is definitely one for the books. The beautiful scenery of the ocean when driving up and down the mountain was absolutely breathtaking every time. The kind owners picked delicious sweet bananas for us and checked in on us kindly. They recommended some delicious food places and the nearby beaches were picturesque. It was definitely a treat staying in this beautiful home and we definitely plan on coming back again.

Relaxing Oasis! This is a beautiful quiet property with beautiful views and lots of fruit trees. Cassie gave us a tour of the grounds and gave us apple bananas, papaya and avocado grown on the property. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

What a gorgeous pleasant surprise. The property is located two miles upland from the beach. The apartment is in a new building and is spacious, quiet, classy and well outfitted. It has a beautiful garden view of lush tropical vegetation, and a peekaboo view of the ocean. It was a wonderful retreat to relax and recover after a day of exploring the Island. The “studio” design refers to an open concept, and the two bedrooms are separated by a divider, but do not have individual doors. This was fine or our stay, but it may not work for two couples. The washer and dryer are coin operated, so lots of quarters are required.
